University is starting up on the 26th, which I’m both excited and nervous for. I’m going to finally buy a laptop of my own around then as well, with the money I earned over summer. Right now, I’m looking at a Dell Inspiron 15 Gaming Laptop, with Intel Core i5 2.5 GHz, 1TB HDD, 8 GB RAM, and 4 GB NVIDIA GTX 1050. These are pretty decent specs for within my price range, so it should be able to run Sims (and my hoard of cc) with minimal problems, and of course cater for my university needs. This will be a huge step up from the last computer, so I’m hoping to install more cc, more EPs (Pets!) and this beautiful post-processing program called Reshade, for more advanced picture-taking.
Soooo I’m aiming to resume posting around March 4. It could be later considering the finicky nature of the game, and the fact I still haven’t finished writing the first chapter 😅 But once I do post it, I’m hoping to update somewhat regularly, maybe every two weeks. To help, I will stop creating poses for this generation as they take up far too much time. Let’s get Gen 3 done and dusted by the end of this year!
I was going to talk story stuff later but I want to clarify something about a few characters real quick. A reader brought this up on Chapter 3.9- in the careless way I wrote the story, Luc and Gabriel both seem like they are falling in love with Cherry, despite there being very little to love about her. I must say that they are not falling madly in love with her. Gabriel has undisclosed reasons for being attracted to Cherry (note, this is simply attraction) but Luc is definitely, definitely not in love with her. I know that sounds like a spoiler but it’s something I really should have made clear before. Luc is a casual dater, so he does like Cherry and thinks she’s cute and whatnot, but there’s no initial deep attraction there. Just clarifying that for future reference, you’ll see what I mean later on. I’m really looking forward to writing Luc in the next couple of chapters, so I can finally show why he’s my favourite Gen 3 male character lol.
Saying that, I think I’m going to go back and edit the absolute worst parts of this gen. I physically cannot read Generation 3 thanks to me cringing painfully. When the lovely, talented Louise from Not Just A Book Sims talked about editing, she prompted me to think about the possibility. I usually hate going back and editing since it sort of feels like cheating, but I also want to reread Gen 3 without crying 🙂 So if you also reread (please don’t lmao), don’t be surprised if there are a few tweaks here and there.
That’s it for now, folks! I will post a lengthier rambling when I’ve begun snapping screenshots, concerning more substantial story things like further notes and warnings, and potentially a sneak peek. I’m also working on generation summaries which should be completed soon. Until then, I hope everyone is having a lovely February ❤
