rambling — notebook ai.

Hello!

I’m here to ramble about this wonderful website I found yesterday, courtesy of Pinterest. It’s called Notebook.ai and has got to be my new favourite writer’s tool! Basically, it’s where you can record and organise information for your stories; universes, characters, locations, items and more, if you upgrade to a premium plan. But the free version is more than enough for me! I love organising, and I have way too much info for the legacy scattered around the place, so I was super excited to discover this website. Now I won’t have to dig through a 12k word document to find relevant info about my characters 😛

I like the character section best of all. It features extensively detailed questions for all aspects of your character, which is awesome for developing and really getting to know them. Great if you struggle with character development, like me! And it’s very customisable, you can add your own pictures or categories or pages. You can also write whatever you want in Scratchpad or Notes, and ask others for advice in Discussions.

I think many of you would find Notebook.ai just as helpful as I do! I’ve been doing lots of character developing and creating over the past months, too many of which are in future generations haha. Pinterest is also another amazing story tool (here’s my account). Are there any other helpful sites you guys use? How do you get inspired?

Just before I finish up, a little life update! I got into architecture for university this year, which I’m sooo excited for. I am hoping to resume posting when March begins, but problems are probably going to crop up because Sims is just -__- There’s a couple of story notes I must discuss and generation summaries I am in the midst of writing, which I will share just before my first chapter. Many things have changed about the story’s trajectory since 2016! Darn, I miss posting and talking with my lovely readers 😦

I wish everyone a good year ahead 💕

  1. Wow, this is amazing!! Thank you so much for sharing ❤ Creating characters, worlds etc is such an enjoyful thing for me to do, so this is pretty ideal – I had downloaded and printed some character sheets for a game I'm designing, but this is so much better! I already singed up and will explore it thoroughly as soon as I get home later today! I love it! 😄 (And I especially love that you can add other character profiles to a character's family tree!)
Congratulations on getting into uni, and especially to study exactly what you wanted! 🎉🎉 That's awesome! I wish you all the best when you get there 🙂
I'm really looking forward to your next chapter, can't wait to see what you have in store for us!
And again, thank you so much for sharing this! ❤

    • I really enjoy creating as well, there’s something just so fun about working out all the details and unique characteristics of each person 🙂 And how they all connect! I’m glad you like the website too, what kind of game are you designing?
Thank you for your well wishes! ❤

      • Well, the way I’ve pictured it, it will be something between a time management/strategy game and a visual novel, with several stories and characters, but it’s at veeery early stages… I hope it can go as planned, although it will take quite some time to be complete 😀 Thank you so much for your interest, I’ll certainly let you know when/if I finish it! ❤

  2. Sounds interesting, however I think taking notes on my phone is more than enough for me at the moment. Lol at the fact I am nearly Cherry’s height and weigh 10 kilograms more, hahaha. I love organizing too!
That’s so amazing you got in exactly where you wanted. It must have took you lots of hard work to get there. Congratulations ❤️

  3. Woah, this is really neat! I’m currently scratching my thoughts/plans/character info on a very beat up little notebook so this looks wayyyyyy better. It’s a great way to keep track of everything. Thanks for sharing! ❤
Also, congrats for getting into uni with the major of your choice! Again, I look forward to seeing you get back into your writing 🙂

  4. Wow! I can’t wait to explore this site! I think it will be great having everything all together like that as well as all of the character information we can use.

I’m so excited for you about Uni! That is so awesome and just what you wanted! Congratulations! ❤ ❤

I followed your Pinterest with both my accounts. haha Yours looks terrific. If you look at my main account under the name Kymber, you'll see I'm a bit of an organizational freak, too. 😛

  5. First, congratulations on getting into university for what you wanted! That’s so cool! Enjoy this new chapter in your life!
This site looks cool, and almost exactly what I painstakingly created myself! XD
I used a program called Scrivener for the longest time (still do for some things), but I switched to OneNote for my Sims stories and D&D worldbuilding. I created my own templates for scenes, characters, encounters, locations, etc. I like Scrivener & OneNote because they have a binder feel to them. It’s not just one massive Word document that just keeps getting bigger. 😂
